No tuition or application fee for EU/EEA and Swiss citizens, while non-EU students pay SEK 80,000–295,000 a year plus a SEK 900 application fee. Study in Sweden lists 39 universities with more than 1,000 bachelor's and master's programmes in English, and admission is central and fully online. Discover how the application rounds work, what a month costs (at least SEK 10,656 for non-EU students) and how to find a room.
In Sweden there are usually no entrance exams. If you meet the requirements, you compete for a place with the other applicants – usually on the basis of your secondary school grades.
The exceptions are arts programmes and some specialised programmes, where institutions may ask for a portfolio, sample work or an interview. Swedish applicants can also use the result of the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (högskoleprovet), but it is held in Swedish. The programme description gives the details.
