Sziget Festival
Held on Óbudai Island, Budapest's Sziget Festival draws hundreds of thousands of revellers for a week of great music, camping and partying. Dance and rock acts dominate the main stages but jazz and world music also fill the festival programme.
Sziget's self-contained setting on an island in central Budapest makes
for a very special atmosphere. Although it's possible to attend just on
special days many party-goers stay on the island for the entire week,
camping and celebrating with like-minded people from Hungary, Europe and
beyond.
Never a dull moment, with theatre, outdoor movie
screenings, fitness classes, volleyball, football matches and children's
entertainment happening away from the stage, visitors are spoilt for
things to do.
