MIDEM Music Festival
Cannes' Palais des Festivals rocks to the sounds of its MIDEM Music Festival, a professional trade fair that also incorporates a series of concerts, alongside the glitzy NRJ Music Awards (by invitation only).
The MIDEM Music Festival flies the flag for new talent, so as well as
sponsoring gigs by established artists at venues across Cannes, you'll
also find open-mic initiatives such as "Talent Only", taking place in a
suitably swanky setting by the sea.
