Six Nations Championship: Wales
The spine-tingling sound of massed Welsh rugby fans singing in support of their team is a cornerstone of Six Nations matches at the Millennium Stadium. In 2011, Wales welcome England and Ireland as they attempt to regain the championship crown.
The Six Nations pits the top Northern Hemisphere teams against each other and is the world's oldest rugby tournament, having existed in various forms for more than 120 years. Initially the International Championship, featuring England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, the competition has expanded twice, with France joining the fray in 1910 and Italy being the most recent addition, in 2000.
Since the advent of the Six Nations, Wales have won the "Grand Slam" twice, winning all five championship games in both 2005 and 2008. In 2010 they finished fourth.
