The Red PIC-NIC
The Red PIC-NIC sees Warsovites gather at the foot of the Palace of Culture and Science on Labour Day for a mock celebration of life in Communist Poland. Applaud the Motherland and join in with the kitsch festivities.
People of all ages turn up to live - or relive - a day in the life of
the PRL (People's Republic of Poland), supervised under the watchful eye
of ZOMO riot police.
Comrades can dance to musical hits from the
1950s to the 1980s, watch propaganda films and marvel at vintage Trabi
and Sawa cars.
