Almada International Theatre Festival
The Almada International Theatre Festival takes centre stage in Lisbon during early July. Performances take place at various venues, including the Belém Cultural Centre, Almada Theatre and Culturgest. It's a great place to spot emerging international and local talent.
At the end of the festival each year, a work is selected as the
'honoured' piece for the following year. Alongside the numerous
international theatre groups there are dance performances and street
theatre, exhibitions and talks.
