Nature One
Germany's most popular techno festival, Nature One sees around 50,000 beat-happy campers descending on a disused rocket base in Kastellaun, Germany, west of Frankfurt. Hardcore techno vibes, rave and trance all feature.
The abandoned rocket shelters, buildings and hills of the old Pydna
rocket base make for an eerie, yet magnificent, atmosphere. A huge tent
city springs up where clubbers can recharge their batteries or warm up
for another hard-dancing night. During the afternoon, shuttle buses
bring campers to the little town of Kastellaun for a shower or to stock
up on food and beer.
Nature One features around 300 DJs from all
over the world, serving beats in five main areas, both open-air and in
large tents, as well as around 18 clubs, hosted in old shelters.
