Full-time Polish-taught programmes at public universities are free for EU/EEA and Swiss citizens, while English-taught ones usually cost €2,000–6,000 a year. Poland has 344 higher education institutions, and full-time non-EU/EEA students with a student visa or temporary residence permit can work without a permit. Find out how admission works and what a student typically spends a month (PLN 1,500–2,000).
Levels of study are set by the Law on Higher Education and Science:
A programme can have a practical profile (more than half of the ECTS credits for practical classes) or a general academic profile (more than half of the ECTS credits for classes linked to research). Part-time programmes may last longer than full-time ones. The academic year runs from 1 October to 30 September and is divided into two semesters.
Poland – bachelor's programmes
Poland – integrated (single-cycle) programmes
