European Science on Stage festival

Crossing borders in science teaching is taken literally by Science on Stage Europe: For the first time, the forthcoming Science on Stage Festival in Słubice - Frankfurt (Oder) takes place with bilateral cooperation from 25-28 April 2013.

The Polish organising committee of the Adam-Mickiewicz-University Poznań and Science on Stage Germany are collaborating in order to create a successful educationtional festival for 350 teachers from 25 European countries and Canada. Patrons of the festival are the Polish President, Bronisław Komorowski, and the German Federal President, Joachim Gauck.

The main focus of the event is to offer science and mathematics teachers a platform from which they will exchange teaching projects and network together. The Science on Stage festival gives them the opportunity to present their best-practice ideas for science education and inspire colleagues through workshops, technical lectures and on stage presentations. In this way, good-practice-examples will be spread all over Europe. Follow-up activities are organised throughout Europe by the National Committees of Science on Stage in order to encourage and inspire teachers who have not been able to attend the festival itself.
