Come to the Royal Observatory Greenwich for an evening of astronomy. The programme consists of a planetarium show to illustrate what’s in the night sky on the day of your visit; a chance to look through our gigantic 18-tonne Victorian telescope (weather permitting); and some time on the Prime Meridian after dark with an amazing view, a hot drink and astronomers to answer your questions.
Observing evenings are suitable for children aged 7+.
Note: It is possible that dense cloud, rain, or high winds will prevent you from looking through the telescope. Under these circumstances a presentation using unique footage taken through the instrument will be given in the telescope dome. We are unable to offer refunds.
Fee: £16, adult | £14, child/concession | £56, family*
