Accommodation and living costs in Europe

Study in Europe estimates that a student in Italy spends around €700–1,100 a month, depending on the city.

Your options are:

• university residences and guest rooms,
• colleges and halls of residence (collegi, residenze), including colleges for high-achieving students (collegi di merito),
• places in residences of the regional right-to-study agencies (DSU, e.g. ER.GO in Emilia-Romagna) – Universitaly lists 45,843 of them in total,
• a room in a rented flat – many universities run databases of offers.

You apply for a DSU residence place together with your scholarship application – watch the deadlines, as they often close in the summer.
